“qua hoả cấy trai” “the fruitier, the hotter”
“fruity” was a derogatory, discriminative gay slur since 19th century yet have been appropriated and reclaimed by the community, to be equivalent to “queer”.
the flowers* chosen for the Queer Museum bouquet are hermaphroditic plants (read: bisexual flowers, yes they do use that for plants), of birds and bees - those own their reproductive cycle for the sweetest nectar of life.
now we “label” our queer archives with fruit of their forbidden flowers, in the celebration of the Queer Archive to be re-owned by the community, of those resilient whose pollen were whispering amidst the wind.

*this flower is not bisexual but disguised as a swan-shaped wedding style watermelon slice, just like how activist always have to make things more appealing as a minority for the public to gain attention
